That's the thinking behind The Honest Cut LLC.

After spending more than 25 years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to build something of my own. Something I could be proud of, something that reflects my taste, my standards, and my appreciation for things that are made to last.

I've always loved the character of older homes, beautiful woodwork, and the kind of craftsmanship you just don't see much anymore. The rich woods, intricate details, and timeless designs that make you stop and take a second look.

That's what I want to bring back.

The Honest Cut is a woman-owned business based in Charles City, Iowa, specializing in custom wood designs, decorative panels, dimensional carvings, and architectural details.

My vision is to create pieces that look just as beautiful in a historic mansion or luxury hotel as they do in someone's home. Not trendy. Not mass-produced. Just beautiful work that stands the test of time.

I'm just getting started, but I have big plans for this little Iowa business.

And one thing won't change, no matter how big it gets.
